摘要
本文通过对三篇语料的统计分析后发现,英汉互译在涉及反译问题时可能出现的趋势为:汉语偏重于否定表达,英语偏重于肯定表达。通过分析,发现其潜在的原因可能有三个:汉语可以表示否定意义的词汇匮乏和英语可以表示否定意义的非否定词汇富足;追求风格一致的需要;以及英语的求静性与汉语的求动性的影响。
Through statistic analyses of three language materials,this essay tries to find out the possible tendency of the two languages of Chinese and English concerning negation in their cross-translation,that is,Chinese tends to use more negative expressions than English; and the three possible causes may be: 1.English has more non-negative words which can express negative meanings; 2. The intention of keeping accordance with the source language in style; and 3. Chinese tends to be dynamic while English tends to be static.
