贝尔实验室垂直分层空时系统的简化最大似然检测算法

Simplified Maximum Likelihood Detection Algorithm in Vertical-Bell Labs Layered Space-Time System

摘要 针对贝尔实验室垂直分层空时系统最大似然检测复杂度过高的问题,提出一种简化最大似然算法.该算法利用多维高斯分布逼近干扰加噪声的统计特性,并根据发射天线数和调制阶数来调整待检测发射向量的个数,以减小需搜索的待检测信号向量个数,在复杂度不高的情况下就可达到与最优检测相近的误码性能.仿真结果表明,当发射天线数为4、采用16-QAM调制时,该方案可仅用最大似然算法0.0162倍的复杂度达到与其相近的误码率. Focusing on the problem that the detection complexity was high in vertical-Bell labs layered space-time system, a novel simplified maximum likelihood algorithm was proposed. The probability distribution of interference and noise is approximated by the Gaussian distribution. Search region is drastically reduced by changing the number of candidate transmit signal vectors according to transmit antenna number and modulation size. Near optimum performance is obtained with low complexity. Simulation shows that with 4 transmit antennas, 16-QAM modulation, the new algorithm's bit error rate is close to the optimum value of the maximum likelihood detection algorithm with 0. 016 2 times of its complexity.
