2007年,是三峡工程初期运行期的第一年,也是工程综合效益全面发挥的第一年。枯期,长江中下游遭遇多年未遇的枯水位,为保障通航安全,利用三峡水库对航运实施流量补偿调度,满足了枯季通航水位要求;汛期,为缓解长江中下游防洪压力,根据长江防总防洪调度指令,三峡开发总公司对4次较大洪水实施了防洪调度,为长江中下游的防洪安全做出了重要贡献。

In 2007, the first year of the initial operation stage of the Three Gorges Project and the first year when the project takes into effect, there in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River come up against singularly low water in the dry season and the demand of ship was satisfied by a special method which we named flow compensation operation. In the flood season, in order to reduce the pressure of lower reaches, China Three Gorges Project Corporation actualized the flood control operation to four greater floods based on the assignment of the Flood Control Headquarters of Yangtze River, which is an important contribution to the safety of the lower reaches of Yangtze River.
