The principle of scannerless frequency modulated/continuous wave semiconductor laser radar is introduced emphatically. Its modulation method, system capability, and its advantage and disadvantage on precision guidance are analyzed. It is predicted according to its development in the world that the semiconductor laser radar will be a key research field of precision guidance technology.
