Constrastive Research of Commercial Banks' Dynamic Efficiency search of Commercial Banks' Dynamic Efficiency

商业银行效率问题一直被学术界关注,绝大部分相关研究集中在全国层面,本文选取14家商业银行2001—2004年的经营数据,分别从全国范围和上海地区两个层面,利用DEA方法对其技术效率、纯技术效率和规模效率和超效率进行对比分析。结果表明商业银行效率在不同层面上表现出显著差异,而金融生态的差异是效率差异的最主要原因。

Academic circle takes much concerns with bank efficiency, but most researches have been concentrated on the commercial bank efficiency. In China it is important to research the commercial bank efficiency in regional perspective. This paper analyzes China＇s commercial banks＇ efficiency by DEA method through data of 14 typical commercial banks from 2001-2004. From the result significant difference has been observed between two groups of banks and the financial ecosystem is the key reason for the difference.
