摘要
通过虚拟环境进行模拟仿真是验证网络协议的正确性和进行性能测试的主要手段。NS-2是目前网络仿真最流行的软件之一。文中首先介绍了NS-2仿真平台的发展历史、特点和安装方法;然后重点分析了如何基于NS-2平台建立TCP拥塞控制研究的仿真场景,及其仿真数据的生成和处理方法;最后给出主流TCP拥塞控制算法的仿真结果。
Network simulation using computer based virtual environment is an important technique to verify the validity and performance of the network protocols. NS-2 is one of the most popular softwares applied for network simulation. This paper briefly introduced the history, specialties and installation of NS-2. Then it focused on the simulation of TCP congestion control based on NS-2. The simulation environment and the data processing technique were addressed. Simulation results of current TCP protocols were presented to show the efficiency of our simulating technique.
