桥墩基础冲刷预防护是近年河口与沿海地区特大型桥梁试用的安全防护措施,根据江苏苏通大桥工程实际,介绍桥墩基础冲刷预防护的科研、设计、施工要点及质量控制。

The scouring protection for pier foundations is a safety preventive measure for normal operation of major bridges having been built in the estuary and coastal areas in the recent years. In accordance with the specific situations of the construction of Sutong Bridge, Jiangsu Province, this paper presents the outlines of the scientific research, design and construction and also the quality control of the scouring protection for the main pier foundations of the Bridge.
