摘要
WebGIS是传统GIS发展的必然趋势,然而目前却存在很多发展瓶颈,诸如空间信息的动态变化实现困难、GIS数据共享、传输速度不容乐观等。SVG具有适合网络发布的优点,将其应用于地图网络传输与发布,能解决目前地图网络发布面临的难点问题。因此,在WebGIS的研究中,若将地理空间数据编码成SVG格式来进行空间数据存储、处理和显示,可以有效地消除现在专有空间数据格式所产生的数据传输的问题。
