Reinterpreting Syntactic Structures (Chomsky 1957)——To celebrate the 50^(th) anniversary of its publication

文章回顾了《句法结构》发表的背景、闪光思想、欧美学者对著作的评介、著作对结构主义语言学思想的发展以及对Chomsky后期论著的影响,还从三个方面重新评价了著作的学术价值,并指出学界解读著作中存在的三个误区,最后与同行共勉。

This article reviews the publication background and highlights the thoughts of Syntactic Structures （Chomsky 1957）, the comments of European and American scholars, its development over the structural linguistics and its influence on Chomsky＇s later works. In addition, the article reevaluates the academic value of Syntactic Structures from three aspects and points out three types of misunderstanding among scholars.
