社会契约作为一种调节个人与社会、个人与国家各种矛盾的最有作为的现代性方式,对于性别关系的调节亦具丰富的理论价值与广阔的应用前景。随着社会实践的发展和人的对象性关系的日益丰富,无论是传统契约理论家所构想的"现实之约"模式,还是罗尔斯所提出的"理想之约"模式都将更广泛地进入性别关系领域,成为处理两性矛盾的有效方式之一。然而,由于在社会契约思想的各种"伟大"的经典文本中普遍存在着男权意志,所以女性主义在肯定弘扬"平等、自由、自主选择"的契约精神始终都应当是构建和谐性别关系历程中不可抛弃的基本原则的同时,亦提出清除社会契约理论中的男权思想余孽是必要和有益的。

They will serve as an effective approach to solve the conflict between the male and female. However, since in the classic text of the social agreement thought, the male-will prevailed, it is also necessary and meaningful to get rid of male-power thought in the social agreement theory in the male-thinking. At the same time , the feminism insisted on the basic principle of agreement spirit of 'equality, freedom, self-chosen' in building a harmonious gender relations.
