翻译之“科学”与“艺术”视阈

Art or Science——Two Aspects of Translation Studies

文章论述了"科学派"与"艺术派"各自的基本观点,并分析了其科学性与艺术性。翻译作为科学和艺术的统一不应割裂开来进行研究,简单地从语言学或文学角度来进行翻译研究显然不能满足当前的翻译研究的需要,跨学科的综合研究才是翻译研究的主流。

Is translation a science or an art？ This has long been one of the focal controversies among translaologists. This paper states the basic viewpoints about ＂science＂ and ＂art＂ briefly. As an union, ＂science＂ and ＂art＂ should not be separated in translation studies. Translation study from the angle of linguistics or literature could not be satisfied with present situation. Interdiscipline should be the main trend in the field of translation studies.
