This paper analyzes the Chengdu indigenous architect Liu Jiakun＇ s two aspects in his architectural practice, the country building and the urban building. By analyzing these works, illuminate his questing for narrative discourse, literary construct, low-tech tactics, tectonic discourse, function. Simultaneously expounding his enthusiasm for regionally architecture, social architecture, and his attitude towards the con- temporary resources.
