The effect of rocket plume produced by propellants with different components on electromagnetic wave propagation was introduced, The attenuation and phase shift of radio signals transversing through the rocket plume produced by various propellants were measured by using ground experiments. On the basis of these measurements, the results and the insufficiency of the experiments were discussed. In addition, the meaning and practical value of the experiments were also put forward.
