Chitosan intelligent hydrogel has remarkable stimulative responsibility（or swelling behavior） to tiny stimulus from environment, such as temperature, pH, electric field, etc. In this paper, the preparation and application of chitosan intelligent hydrogel in drug release, wound dressing, and tissue engineering are introduced. Its development in the future is predicted.
