湖北宜城市周代文化遗址调查简报(之二)

Survey Report of Zhou Dynasty Sites in Yicheng, Hubei: Part Ⅱ

2007年10月,武汉大学历史地理研究所与宜城市博物馆在宜城境内进行第二次田野考古调查,重点踏勘了汉江与蛮河之间的周代文化遗址,探讨它们在楚文化发展、演变中的地位,考察楚文化中心区与其他地区的相互关系。本次调查进一步明确了有关遗址的文化内涵和大致年代,加深了我们对这一地区周代文化遗址群的总体认识。

In October, 2007, archaeologists from the Institute of Historical Geography at Wuhan University, in cooperation with Yicheng Municipal Museum, conducted the second session of archaeological survey in search for Zhou dynasty sites. The survey focused on finding sites located in the valleys between Han River and Man River. The investigations yield importance information on the development of these settlement related to the rise of Chu Culture and their relations with other sites in the region. The investigations result in presentations of cultural materials and relative chronology of these sites and provide in-depth understanding of natures and distributions of Zhou dynasty sites in the region.
