Changes of People's Relations in a Transformed Period in China

权力场境下的人际关系可以分为两种:有尊卑的等级制与无尊卑的等级制。由于社会的文化变迁,虽然尊卑的文化再生产机制已经丧失,但是由于社会记忆、路径依赖等因素,本应该是无尊卑的等级制的现代社会人际关系却蜕变为一种虚伪的等级制。

Relations among people would turn into hierarchies with or without superiority and inferiority when power is concerned. Though the relations among people have changed with times and there is no way for the typical hierarchical culture with different classes to reproduce, the influence of old conventions and people＇s desire for position promotion make an insincere hierarchical respect appear accordingly.
