榄香烯对人癌细胞增殖的抑制作用

Inhibitory Effect of Elemene on the Proliferation of Human Tumor Cells in vitro

应用MTT法检测42例癌症患者肿瘤细胞对抗癌药榄香烯的敏感性,并与其他7种化疗药物加以比较。结果表明在一定剂量范围内榄香烯对正常细胞无明显影响但有20例（占47.6％）肿瘤细胞对榄香烯敏感;不同肿瘤对该药的敏感性差异较大,同一类型肿瘤的不同个体敏感性也不相同。

In this paper, by using the MTT colorimetric assay, the sensitivities of fresh tumor cells taken from 42 cases of tumor patients to the anti-tumor actions of Elemene, a Chinese herb medicine isolated from Rhizoma zedoariae, were determined in vitro. Other seven drugs used for cancer chemotherapy were also included for comparison with Elemene. The experimental resultsshowed that the tumor cells of 20 case out of 42 patients (47. 6%) were sensitive to the actions of Elemene, but , within a certain range, Elemene had no significant effect on nornal cells. However, the sensitivities of different tumor cells varied greatly to the actions of Elemene, and the sensitivities of different individuals with the same kind of tumor also varied significantly.
