This article discussed the character and evaluation of pancreatic β-cell function in the typel diabetic patients （T1DM） and the type2 diabetic patients （T2DM）, There were great difference in pancreatic B-cell function in patients with T1DM and T2DM, each has some influencing factors. A lot of methods has been used to evaluate pancreatic β-cell function, all of which were too perfect to reflect the changes of their quality and quantity. But these methods might be used properly and improved. The better method would be sought.
