内群体偏爱在早期的群体互动关系中似乎成为定论。文章在简要介绍内群体偏爱的理论基础上,重点阐述了外群体偏爱的现象及其研究例证,特别介绍了弱势群体成员心理上内群体偏爱与外群体偏爱共存现象,与优势群体成员的外群体偏爱;并对外群体偏爱研究进行了评价与展望。

Affer an introduction of researches and theories on group favoritism, this article switched its focus on to the new development of group favoritism-outgroup favoritism. Then the paper highlighted the outgroup favoritism of the members of the disadvantaged group as well as the advantaged group, and made an evaluation and prediction of the research on outgroup favoritism.
