This paper expounds the definition, scope and classification of the intellectual property, discusses the relationship among the knowledge-based economy, innovation and intellectual property, and points out that facing the challenge of knowledge-based economy, we should strengthen the consciousness of intellectual property, perfect the system of intellectual property, work out and implement the targeted and emphasized strategy of intellectual property according to our own features and actual conditions.
