In the article, the configuration and characteristics of expandable metal anodes are presented. Based on the analysis of the electrochemical performances and influencing factors of the Ru-Ti coated expandable metal anodes, several forms of damage were understood. Suitable anode repairing method is selected, and correct installing process was used to ensure the repair quality and enable the diaphragm electrolyzers to have long operating period.
