每一种文化的存在都有其渊源，人名也不例外。人名由“姓”和“名”组成，本文从“姓”和“名”孰重孰轻这个角度出发，对比东西方文化的差异并从自然地理环境这个角度来分析这一差异。

Each culture must have its origin,among which the full name is distinct . Either in the East or in the West,the full name comprises the name and the surname . This paper tries to draw some differences between different cultures from the different attitudes towards the name and the surname.
