Research on the Role of Education in the Process of Balanced Development between Urban and Rural Areas

统筹城乡经济社会发展,是党中央在正确把握中国新阶段经济社会发展的新趋势、新矛盾、新挑战、新机遇和遵循经济社会发展规律的基础上提出的,是一个重大的理论创新。文章结合近年来城乡经济社会发展的实际,对新时期教育在城乡统筹发展中应有的作用作了分析和论述。

Balancing economic and social development between urban and rural areas is a significant theory innovation that is put forward by the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Party on the basis of correct judgment on the new trends, new contradictions, new opportunities of the present social and economic development, and a- biding to its development principles. Taking into consideration of the practice in social-economic development, the author probes into and analyzes the present role education plays in the process of balanced development between urban and rural areas.
