With the reference of related national and local codes, regulations and technical data of the products, features and present application of the light storing self-illuminating evacuation signs have been overviewed. Aimed at some problems which lie in the engineering design specifications of the light storing selfilluminating evacuation signs, some research has been done and the viewpoints of the authors have been given.
