Root file system is an important component of an embedded Linux system, so it is significant that we research construction of embedded Linux root file system. Busybox is a software of construction root files. This paper mainly introduces the method of construction root file system in the use of the newest busybox-1.4.0 under embedded Linux including configuration and installation of busybox and writing script files needed.
