论地方高校英语教师人文素质和创新意识的培养

On Cultivating Humanistic Quality and Innovative Consciousness of English Teachers in Local Universities and Colleges

地方高校的条件有限,英语教师队伍的整体素质不高,发展滞后。本文通过对地方高校英语教师现状的分析与研究,论述了地方高校英语教师可持续发展的重要性,认为新时代地方高校英语教师应该具有人文素质和创新精神。

English is a humanistic curriculum with strong innovation, while English teachers have great and profound influences on students. English teachers in local universities and colleges are confronted with new challenges in self-advancement due to new requirements for talents demanded by the advent of globalization and knowledge-based economy. Because of limited conditions, English teachers＇ qualities in local universities and colleges are not very comprehensive, and they proceed with comparative slowness. By analyzing conceptions and the present state of these teachers, this paper discusses the importance of their sustainable development, puts forwards that they should inherit essence of traditional cultures as well as correspond to the request of modem civilization, to cultivate and build their humanistic characters and innovative consciousness.
