Study on the Development of TEM-4 and Integrated English Teaching in Independent College

TEM-4是英语专业本科学生所参加的全国性考试之一,独立学院的英语专业学生同样要求通过该专业考试。而独立学院的生源质量往往良莠不齐,因此教师应结合实际情况探索适合该校学生的教学策略以提高TEM-4的通过率。TEM-4的目的在于考察基础阶段学生的英语综合运用能力,而基础英语课程的教学任务也在于此。因此教师应将TEM-4的要求内化到基础英语的课堂教学中,使二者有机结合,构建高效的基础英语课堂教学,从而达到全面提高基础阶段学生英语综合运用能力的目的。

Great importance has been attached to TEM -4 which aims to examine the comprehensive abilities of English majors. And the reform of TEM -4 can stimulate students＇ enthusiasm and promote teaching of Integrated English course in independent colleges. The teaching aim of Integrated English course is also to develop students＇comprehensive abilities. In this way, the exam and the English comprehensive ability in language teaching can be improved at the same time.
