Patent pledge is an important component of the transfer of intellectual property rights. Its significance is more obvious with independent innovation being stressed in China nowadays. The realization of patent pledge is a critical link in the transfer as it is of vital importance to the realization of both the interests of the pledgee and the values of patent rights. This article discusses issues concerning the actual system of patent pledge from the perspective of the realization of patent pledge, makes an analysis of existing problems in this respect and comes up with some relevant suggestions.
