随着年龄的增长,人体的结构和生理功能不可避免地会出现老化,口腔组织也不例外。老年人龋病及牙周病等口腔疾病发病率增加,在确定口腔治疗方案时,应综合考虑老年患者的全身状况及口腔组织的增龄变化,以恢复其功能为主,尽量选择简单有效的治疗方法,治疗处理时间不应太长,应尽可能减少复诊次数,做好术前的心理疏导及术中的无痛操作。同时,用通俗易懂的语言对老年患者进行宣教,教会其口腔保健方法。为保持老年人口腔健康,还应加强口腔定期检查,以利健康长寿。
