This paper deals with the effect of rare - earth additive on the properties of plating liquor and Ni-W-Co alloy coating. The resultshows that, rare - earth additive could increase current efficiency, maximum allowable current density and cathodic polarzation, rare earth additives play a role in accelerating alloy sedimentation, fining grains and moresing hard ness of the coating.
