摘要
通过分析14篇英语学术语篇中情态系统的使用情况,发现其分布呈现一定的规律性,其中从情态意义上看推测型及义务型情态的使用频率较高,在主客观及显隐性取向上主观隐性情态在分布上占绝对优势。语篇功能方面情态在学术语篇中传达了反映客观真实性、表示礼貌或缓和语气以及进行互动与磋商等人际意义。
Modality is a frequent linguistic phenomenon in English academic writing. In this study fourteen English academic articles of diverse fields are surveyed to analyze the use of modality and it is found out that it has some regularities in distribution and conveys various interpersonal meanings in different contexts.
