The popularization of building energy efficiency technologies of external thermal insulation system for outer - wall accords with development strategies of China＇s economic construction and ecological environment protection. The examples for practical engineering application of the technology were listed, and the effect of Expanded Polystyrene （EPS） external insulation was introduced. Through testing during a heating period, good economic effect was achieved.
