Ontology Integration and Application of Relational Databases

本体越来越多地被用于异构信息的集成。本体整合大体上有三个不同的方向:单本体方法、多本体方法和混合本体方法。提出一个基于混合本体的信息集成框架,此框架能够支持两种查询:基于全局本体的查询和基于局部数据源的查询,且详细地论述了两种类型查询的实现原理和过程。此外,将此框架应用于分布式的数字博物馆中,证明了方法的有效性。

Ontology is used more and more for the integration of heterogeneous information sources.In general,there are three different directions for ontology integration： single ontology approach,multi ontology approach and hybrid ontology approach.In the paper,an integration framework based on hybrid ontology approach is proposed.The approach supports two types of queries： queries posed on global ontology and those posed on local data sources.How the two types of queries are implemented is discussed in details.In addition,the implementation of the framework in distributed museums proves efficient.
