历史唯物主义是马克思主义学说的重要组成部分。十一届三中全会以来,在党的领导下,依靠群众,进行了一场深入持久的改革开放的社会实践活动。在丰富科学社会主义理论的同时,发展了历史唯物主义,使其在创建社会主义初级阶段理论,确定社会主义的根本任务是发展生产力,全面把握科学发展观的内涵,建设中国特色社会主义,努力建设社会主义核心价值体系等方面对马克思主义理论创新作出了重大贡献。

Historical materialism is an important part of Marxism. Ever since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party, a thorough and enduring social practice of reform and opening has been carried out under the leadership of the Party and with an active participation of the people. At the time of improving the theory of scientific socialism, historical materialism has also been greatly improved, thus contributing a great deal to the theoretical creation of Marxism.
