高丽王朝也曾对唐代法律制度进行大规模移植。从总体上看,高丽王朝不像古代日本那样以全盘吸收的模式移植唐代法制,而是对之进行了大规模的改造,使之产生了全方位的变形。之所以进行这些变形,有着极为复杂的历史背景,社会、政治、传统、风习等各种因素都在其中起着重要的作用。

The Koryo dynasty borrowed most of the legal system of the Tang dynasty. Generally speaking, however, in the Koryo dynasty＇s case, unlike in ancient Japan, it was not a wholesale transplantation of the legal system of the Tang dynasty. The Koryo dynasty transformed the borrowed legal system on a large scale. Koryo＇s complicated historical background, social, political and traditional factors, and its customs all contributed to its transformation of the borrowed legal system.
