The fast development of the network and large emergence of electronic documents make not only a libraries＇ information resources types diversified, but also its expenditure facing the problem of being anew assigned. Whether does a library buy printed copies or electronic ones of documents？ And how the ratio assigning these two kinds of copies＇ is balanced will maximize the satisfaction degree of readers？ This paper utilizes related theories of economics to make a tentative exploration about this problem.
