A new type computer monitor system constructed with IBM-PC/XT 286 and IMP is introduced in this paper.This system breaks with the convention of IMP in extending the input channels of a analogue IMP for data collection. The function of One IMP takes the place of many to reduce the system cost many times.One digital IMP used for extending control and digital monitoring. The advanced QUICK BASIC is used as software.This system has the high accuracy,strong resistance of disturbance and low cost.
