The State Development and Reform Commission has issued a notice giving consent on the preconstruction study on Guangdong Nansha refining/chemical integrated project jointly conducted by SINOPEC, Guangdong provincial government and Kuwait National Oil Company. The notice points out that the size of ethylene unit included in this project should be temporarily rated at 1.0 Mt/a and would be further studied in-depth in the feasibility study phase.
