Earthquake took place in Wenchuan area of Sichuan province has caused significant personnel casualty and property damage. How to cope with the devastating natural dlsaster＇and how to carry out reconstruction work after disaster are urgent problems which should be taken into consideration seriously at present. After Wenchuan earthquake, the reconstruction in earthquake-stricken area will be tough and massive one that should be accomplish in a long time under the market economy condition in China . This article probes into the influence brought by the earthquake on Chinese economy and puts forward the possible advices on reconstruction mechanism under the leadership of the government combining with market mechanism.
