冷战后,东北亚地区在安全方面的重要性不断上升。作为唯一的超级大国,美国将东北亚视为全球战略的重点地区,为防止地区大国崛起和对美国的挑战,美国在强化本地区双边军事同盟的同时,也在推动地区多边安全合作,企图将本地区国家全部纳入美国设置的安全框架内。

After Cold War, the importance of Northeast Asia in the area of security rises constantly. As the only superpower, USA look Northeast Asia as the focus area of its global strategy to prevent the rise of some region powers and possible challenges toward USA. on the other hand, USA strengthened bilateral military alliance in Northeast Asia at the same time. USA promoted vigorously Multilateral Cooperation Idea of Security, and its intent is that all countries in this area enter the security framework of USA.
