he effects of Sodium tanshinone ⅡA sulfonate(DS201) and Danshensu(DS182) on the intraerythrocytic free Calcium of normal human were studied by means of fluorescent probe(Fura2) half quantitative analysis.After administration of Calcium channel agonist KCl, the free Ca~2+ level of intraerythrocytic obviously elevated(P<0.01),compared with the resting level.After adiministration of DS201(4 ̄100 μg/ml),DS182(100 ̄300 μg/ml) and Verapamil(0.1 ̄10 μmol/L) previously,then KCl,the free Ca2+ level significantly decreased(P<0.01),compared with that of the normal control group.Furthemore,the effects of DS201 and DS182 were dosedependent.There was no significant difference in Ca2+ between DS201 and DS182(P>0.05).Resting free Ca^2+ concentration in erythrocyte was markedly altered by DS201 and Ver,not DS182.The results indicated that free Ca^2+ concentration in erythrocyte through potentialdependent Calcium channel could be blocked by DS201 and DS182.These characteristics of DS201 and DS182 were similar to that of Ver.Infering the effects that the erythrocyte deformability of human was incresed obviously by Danshen is related to DS201 and DS182, which can inhibit Ca^2+ influx of erythrocyte.
