台湾菁桐与十分地区舍石山的今与昔

The Present and the Past of Waste Rock Mountains in Jingtong and Shifen Area in Taiwan

100年前,菁桐与十分地区是台湾著名的煤碳产地。调查发现,菁桐矿区将煤矸石堆砌成一座座小山丘,形成"舍石山"时结构稳固;而十分矿区在邻近矿场的河畔随意弃渣形成的"舍石堆"则容易产生崩塌现象。深究其原因,可能与当时台阳矿业公司在菁桐地区的采矿运作,多半与缜密的舍石规划与决策有关;相反地,十分地区则由于部分小型采矿企业的任意舍石模式,而不时造成些微的崩塌灾害。由此可知,安全的弃废模式,可能使昔日矿区的舍石山成为当地政府机构规划为居民休闲游憩的地点。

Both Jingtong and Shifen areas are famous places of coal mining in Taiwan a hundred years ago. An investigation found that the ＂ waste rock mountains＂, which were formed as coal gangue was piled - up, are almost firm and solid in Jingtong mining area, but the ＂waste rock mound＂ , which was formed as solid wastes was discarded at random by the riverside, is easy to collapse in Shifen mining area. To probe into the man - made geomorphology, we find that the Taiyang Mining Corporation in Jingtong made thought - out plans to choose better location. Contrarily, other small mining enterprises in Shifen might decide excursive policies which accounted for small disasters every so often. Consequently, the local administration would program the abandoned waste rock mountains in the mining areas as leisure and recreation sites for inhabitants, because of the safe discharge mode of coal gangue.
