巡回文库又称流动图书馆,具有节约、灵活、方便等特点。其作为公共图书馆的一项重要服务措施,在普及民众知识、推进平民教育中发挥重要作用。中国巡回文库萌芽于晚清,发展于民国,与近代中国平民教育相得益彰。

Itinerant library, which can be called travelling library. It has some advantages, such as ： sparing, nimble, convenient. It plays an important pole in the service of public library. The travelling library of China happened in late Ching Dynasty , and developed in The Public China. The travelling library and the normal education complemented each other.
