The article surveys the value and significance of Professor Martin Trow＇ s widely-accepted view of higher educational popularization in the context of China＇ s college education that is being popularized. The fresh view, a renovation of the traditional higher learning theory, positively influences the advance of higher education in terms of quantity and quality. However, it is theoretically and statistically one-sided and deficient in stage division.
