Reconsideration about Exegesis and Exegetics——On the academic contribution of Wangning’s

训诂与训诂学有其历史所赋予的特定涵义,章太炎、黄季刚是独立训诂学的倡导者和奠基人,而陆宗达、王宁则为训诂学的现代化建设做出了杰出的贡献;其中,王宁在当代建立了一个以汉语词义学为主干、以说文学和字源学为辅翼的新的学科体系,具有里程碑式的意义。

Exegesis and exegetics have the special historical meaning. Zhang Taiyan （单太炎） and Huangkan （黄侃） are founders who made exegetics independent, and Lu Zongda （陆宗达） and Wangning （王宁） have made a great contribution to modernize exegetics; among them, Wangning （王宁） has established the new subject system of Chinese semantics centered with Shuowenxue （说文学） and etymology, which has some milestone-like significance.
