Background,Performance and Experiences of the Japanese Circular Economy

经过20世纪60年代严重的产业公害和70年代至80年代初的两次石油危机,在国内外各种因素的推动下,日本举国上下大力发展循环经济,构建循环型社会,如今已经取得了显著成效,成为世界各国中循环经济发展领先的国家。中国如今正面临同样的公害问题及能源资源紧张的问题,发展循环经济对于中国经济的可持续发展具有非常重要的意义,在这方面非常有必要借鉴日本的经验。

Japan experienced severe industrial pollution in the 1960s and the shock of two oil crises in the 1970s and 1980s. Domestic and international factors prompted Japan to develop circular economy and to constmct a recycling society. Significant performance can be observed, making Japan a pacemaker of circular economy around the world. Because China is facing similar problems of pollution and shortage of energies and resources, circular economy is crucial for her sustainable development. Japan＇s experiences therefore provide necessary lessons for China.
