The classic value of Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio lies in the bold depiction of free love. However, in this rebellious love narration which has been generally accepted, Pu Songling's scruple and emotional concentration on ethics and morality are spread in the rebellious narration, which leads to the split narration that rebel against ethics as well as "reconcile" with it continuously. The pattern of "reconciliation" first lies in avoiding confliction between free love and ethics marriage in the way of "wedded wife absence". It also shows that "ghost and fox" has been one way to reconcile which turns into the door leading to ethics.
