A study by Boston Consulting Group shows that thousands of companies from emerging markets such as China and India are growing and expanding rapidly around the world. The top 100 held assets amounting to a total of USD 520 billion in 2006, which is more than the total assets of the top 20 auto plants in the global market. These newcomers not only promote their products but also invest in both developed and developing countries. Domestic entrepreneurs are eager for opportunities to extend their sales systems and production chains into other markets. Some authorities contend that there are five strategies to help these enterprises realize their grand plans in the global business world. A business that wants to profit from globalization should judiciously study all of the various ideas to determine the best strategy for success in its particular circumstances.
