Advancement and Innovation of Science and Technology: the Key of Building Socialist New Countryside

建设社会主义新农村必须依靠科技进步与创新,但在当前农业科技发展中却存在着研发体制不顺、实力不强、经费不足、成果难以转化等问题。对此,我们应以科学发展观为统揽,从完善农业农村科技工作布局、建立统筹城乡科技发展机制、推进农业科技自主创新、加速农村科技成果转化和推广等方面加快科技进步与创新,推动新农村建设。

Building socialist new countryside needs advancement and innovation of science and technology. But in the development of agricultural science and technology, many problems should be taken notice of. The research system is not ordered, the strength need to be improved, the outlay is not enough, and the transformation of production is difficult, etc. So the scientific development theory should be the guide. In order to make progress and innovation in science and technology, and building new countryside, the followings should be done： to perfect science and technology distribution in agriculture and countryside, to plan science and technology development in urban and rural areas as a whole, to push scientific innovation in agriculture, to speed up the transformation and extension of scientific production in rural areas.
