The Disseminators between the City and the Countryside——A Study of the Dissemination Role Played by Rural Workers

农民工是现阶段我国社会转型历史时期产生的特殊社会阶层,穿行于城乡之间的他们在现代社会中是一个"边缘人"群体。正是这种边缘的社会地位,在城市文明的传播中,农民工有着双重的传播角色,通过不同的传播行为影响了传统束缚下的农村社会。但由于农民工自身的局限性和社会传媒环境的制约,其传受具有一定的混杂性、低层次性和不均衡表现。如何更好地发挥农民工的传播作用,这需要充分发挥政府机构的协调管理职能、大众传媒的引领建构作用以及农民工传媒素养的提升。

Rural workers are a special class migrating from the country to the city at the stage of historical transitional period,thus,they play a dual role in the dissemination of the city civilization and exert influence on the tradition-restricted countryside by their various behaviors.However,confined by their own inadequate personal qualities and the unfavorable environment,their dissemination behavior features hybrid,low levelness and unbalance.To strengthen their dissemination function,the government shall coordinate channels of mass media to help enhance their knowledge and skill of information dissemination.
